Following coordinated Israeli-American strikes on Iran, a large number of international airlines suspended flights to Israel and the wider Middle Eastern region. Several countries – including Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait and the UAE – closed their airspace.

Lufthansa suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv, Beirut and Oman until 7 March, and Dubai temporarily for two days. Air France cancelled flights to Tel Aviv and Beirut, KLM suspended Amsterdam–Tel Aviv flights, and Wizz Air cancelled all flights to Israel, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Amman until 7 March.

Spanish low-cost carrier Iberia Express cancelled its daily flight to Tel Aviv, and Air Arabia suspended routes to Iran, Iraq and other affected destinations. Turkish Airlines, however, announced that their flights continue as scheduled.

Israel's Defence Minister declared a state of emergency across the country, and Israeli airspace was closed to civilian flights. Passengers planning travel to or through the region are advised to check with their airlines before departure.

The escalation is already disrupting global trade and passenger links, and analysts warn that a prolonged conflict could have significant consequences for international air traffic and ticket prices.
