The Skopje Basic Public Prosecution filed charges against three persons who, as co-perpetrators, stole cables from the grounds of the "Zelezara" factory in Skopje in early March.

The three individuals are charged with the criminal offense of aggravated theft, under Article 236, Paragraph 4 in connection with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

The theft occurred in the first days of March, when the accused stole various types of cables from the Zelezara grounds, owned by a company from Kavadarci, with a total value of 196,500 denars (approximately 3,200 euros).

During the theft, they also damaged a cable that was part of a public electrical installation, valued at 800,000 denars (approximately 13,000 euros).

The accused were discovered and arrested while loading the cables into a car and attempting to remove them from the factory grounds. Continued detention has been requested for one of the accused, while precautionary measures are in effect for the other two.

This is not the first charge of cable theft from the Zelezara grounds.
