The euro-diesel price rose by 3.5 denars per liter to 95.5, despite the VAT reduction from 18% to 10%. Gasoline remained unchanged at 86.5 denars per liter.

The opposition SDSM says the measure of PM Mickoski has no effect - the third price increase in three weeks, a cumulative 24.5 denars per liter. They warn of cascading food price increases - cooking oil over 100 denars, eggs over 300.

PM Mickoski defends the policy - stable reserves, VAT reduction saves over 200,000 euros daily. VMRO-DPMNE claims Macedonia has the lowest fuel prices in the region, stating that a timely and precise intervention stopped the growth trend.
