Vase Anakiev, director of the State Agricultural Inspectorate and deputy chairman of the Socialist Party of Macedonia, was arrested for accepting a 50,000 euro bribe. He has held the position since 2024.

The arrest was carried out based on previously gathered evidence and a prosecution order. The investigation may expand to include other individuals.
