Police during a search in the village of Erdzelija, Sveti Nikole area, found marijuana, a white powdery substance, and a digital scale at the home of a 25-year-old resident.

The operation was carried out on April 8 by police officers from the Sveti Nikole Interior Affairs Department, based on a court-issued search warrant. During the inspection of the home and auxiliary buildings of suspect A.T., multiple types of narcotic substances were discovered.

"A corresponding criminal complaint will be filed against him," the Ministry of Interior announced. The suspect has been taken to the police station for further processing.

In a separate operation in Shtip, police also detained a Turkish national who was found in possession of drugs and a forged travel document. Both cases are part of intensified police operations to combat drug trafficking in the eastern part of the country.
