Easter with style: How to decorate your home

Easter decorating often tends to go overboard with plastic and artificial colors. But this year's trend is "Organic Easter" - decorations that look elegant, natural and expensive, yet are made with a minimal budget.

Use natural materials

Instead of store-bought baskets, use wooden plates or ceramic bowls. Place real grass or a bit of straw at the bottom for a rustic look.

Eco-style eggs

Instead of strong chemical dyes, try coloring eggs using nature:

  • Onion skins for a rich brown color.
  • Turmeric for sunny yellow.
  • Red cabbage for soft blue tones.
  • Tip: Sprinkle the eggs with a bit of coffee to get a speckled quail-like look - that's currently the biggest hit.

Easter tree

Place several longer branches in a large vase. Hang a few subtle wooden decorations shaped like eggs on them.

Bunny-shaped napkins

You don't need special decorations. Take a regular cloth napkin, roll it up, fold it in half and tie it with string to make "ears." Place one egg in the middle. Your guests will be delighted by this small but creative gesture.
