EU activates biometric border system from April 10 - end of passport stamps

The European Union is activating its biometric Entry/Exit System (EES) at external borders starting April 10. The system replaces passport stamps with fingerprint and facial scans.

Macedonian citizens will need to provide biometric data at every EU entry. The system will issue automatic overstay alerts.
