Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made an unexpectedly conciliatory statement, apologizing to neighboring Gulf countries for the missile strikes Iran carried out in recent days. In a recorded address, Pezeshkian stated that he considers it necessary to apologize to the neighboring countries that were attacked, emphasizing that Iran has no intention of attacking its neighbors.

The president confirmed that a three-member advisory council has ordered the armed forces to refrain from attacking neighboring countries, unless those countries attack first. There is a diplomatic solution to the situation, Pezeshkian said, calling on other countries not to act as puppets of imperialism by supporting Israel or the US.

The president rejected Donald Trump's demands for Iran's unconditional surrender: The US demand is a dream they can take to their grave.

The conflict began on February 28, when the US and Israel conducted air strikes on Iran. Tehran retaliated with missile strikes hitting positions in Israel, Kuwait, Bahrain and other regional locations. Qatar reported intercepting an Iranian missile attack.
