Israeli fighter jets carried out fierce strikes on Tehran as part of the ongoing military conflict now entering its second week. Powerful explosions rocked Mehrabad International Airport, Iran's main air gateway, causing chaos in regional air traffic.

According to available information, more than 50 Israeli aircraft were directed at the same target, with Israeli air forces striking the airport, military installations and infrastructure in Tehran.

Iran's Central Command announced that its response to the joint US-Israeli air strikes will be broader and more intense. Iranian armed forces report that in the early morning hours they destroyed an American F-15E fighter jet and four advanced unmanned aerial vehicles, including Hermes 900 and MQ-9 models, during operations over western, southwestern and southern regions of Iran.

The Iranian side claims Israeli forces deliberately positioned military assets among civilian buildings and infrastructure to hide from Iran's air defense systems. Iran also announced it will intensify strikes against aggressors and expand attacks to more targets in coming days.

The conflict between Iran on one side and Israel and the United States on the other began on February 28, following US-Israeli air strikes on Iran. Tehran retaliated with strikes on positions in Lebanon, Beirut, Kuwait and other regional locations.
