Macedonia made a strategic step toward energy stability by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the United States for improving security in natural gas supply.
Economy Minister Sanja Bozinovska signed the document as part of the strategic dialogue in Washington, stating: \'Energy is becoming the key to strategic partnership\'.
In addition to the memorandum, Bozinovska also met with representatives of American energy giant Chevron, exploring opportunities for diversification of natural gas sources and strengthening energy stability.
Bozinovska was also received at the White House, where she discussed strategic energy cooperation with an adviser to President Trump. These meetings open new opportunities for major American companies to enter the Macedonian energy market.
The agreement is particularly significant in the context of the global energy crisis caused by the Middle East conflict and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
