Macedonia is preparing for an important moment in bilateral relations with the US - a strategic dialogue scheduled for April 7 in Washington, where the delegation will be led by Foreign Affairs Minister Timcho Mucunski.

The meeting is assessed as a test of the country's political maturity before a strategic partner. Macedonia will be the first country in Europe to have a strategic dialogue session with Washington in this format.

The dialogue will cover issues of security, defense and Euro-Atlantic integration, in the context of the heightened global geopolitical situation. The further deepening of the partnership will depend on the success of these talks.

The strategic dialogue comes at a period when Macedonia is striving to strengthen its position in NATO and to accelerate the path toward the EU, and Washington's support remains key for both processes.
