Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski stated on MRT's morning program that the disappointment of young people is rooted in the transition era, when a minority became extremely wealthy while the majority was impoverished.

"There's no place like home. The time will come when the young people who left Macedonia for various reasons will return home," Mickoski stated, emphasizing that the real fight must be waged within the country.

He pointed out that the transition left a deep mark on collective memory and pushed young people toward emigration, as they saw how the system functioned in the interest of individuals.

Mickoski called for creating better living and working conditions in the country, with the aim of reducing the emigration trend and attracting back those who have already left.
