A fifteen-year-old boy was detained in Kochani following a report that he had committed a sexual act against another minor the previous day.

According to the Interior Ministry, the minor was detained at 02:35 at the Kochani Police Station.

He was questioned in the presence of a parent, a lawyer and a representative from the Center for Social Work, in accordance with legal procedures for minors.

A formal report will follow upon completion of the full investigation, the Interior Ministry said. The case has provoked strong public reactions.
