Vice Premier Aleksandar Nikoloski sharply attacked Levica during a parliamentary debate, accusing it of blocking development through "hysteria" over urbanization and driving up apartment prices.

"Because of the hysteria created by Levica, plans are not being adopted, construction is not happening, apartment prices are rising, and young people are emigrating," Nikoloski said, warning that the price per square meter could reach 5,000 euros if the blockade of urban plans continues.

According to him, the current price in Skopje is around 2,500 euros per square meter, while in Ohrid it has reached 4,000 euros. Nikoloski also highlighted government initiatives to attract retail chains Lidl and Spar, as well as legislative changes to facilitate construction of kindergartens, hospitals, and parking facilities.

Levica MP Amar Mecanovic fired back with accusations that the government works "in collusion with the oligarchy" and that their policies will turn ordinary people into renters while oligarchs build and profit. He called for a law to cap rents.
