President Siljanovska-Davkova receives Albanian President Begaj with highest honors

President of Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova is hosting the official state visit of Albanian President Bajram Begaj today. The reception will include the highest state and military honors, followed by a protocol ceremony.

Following the official reception, the two presidents will hold a bilateral meeting, after which a plenary session with the participation of delegations from both countries will take place. The visit will conclude with a joint press conference held at the presidential cabinet.

As part of the official protocol, President Begaj will lay a wreath at the tomb of Goce Delchev at the Church of the Holy Savior in Skopje, paying tribute to the shared historical memory of the two nations. A meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament Afrim Gashi is also planned, after which Begaj will sign the honorary book and address Macedonian members of parliament.

Official visits between Macedonia and Albania are part of ongoing efforts to deepen bilateral relations and regional cooperation. The two countries share strategic interests, particularly in the context of Euro-Atlantic integration and the strengthening of good-neighborly ties in the Western Balkans.
