The trial for the fire at the "Puls" nightclub in Kochani continued with testimonies, a day after the anniversary of the tragedy in which 63 people died and more than 200 were injured.

Three witnesses testified at the hearing in Idrizovo. So far, about 25 prosecution witnesses have given statements since the trial began on November 19.

At the previous hearing, inspector Darko Stojkov from the Directorate for Protection and Rescue described critical safety failures: the hydrant had no water, there were no hoses or fire alarm, and the back exit was locked with a padlock without a handle. He noted that the Directorate's office in Kochani has been without an inspector for more than a decade.

35 individuals and three legal entities are charged, including the nightclub owner, state inspectors, former ministers, and security employees. All defendants deny guilt.

63 white chairs remained empty in the courtroom as a symbol of the lost lives. The trial is led by Judge Dijana Gruevska-Ilievska, with a team of 15 public prosecutors.
