Severe weather from Thursday - arctic wave brings rain, snow and strong wind

From Thursday, Macedonia will be hit by severe weather. Arctic cold air from the north is creating a deep cyclonic system over the Gulf of Genoa. Heavy rainfall is expected, at times torrential. Mountain snow above 1000 m with accumulation of 15+ cm. Southeast winds may exceed 60 km/h. Maximum temperatures drop to 6-14°C by March 27, with Skopje at about 11°C. Wet snow is possible in higher populated areas of western and northern regions. Meteorologist Slavcho Poposki warned of an unusually cold period for this time of year.
