The state electricity distribution company announced that parts of the Skopje municipalities of Kisela Voda, Gjorce Petrov, and Karpos will be without electricity today due to planned maintenance work on the power grid.
The outages are scheduled to last several hours during the day as crews perform necessary repairs and upgrades to the electrical infrastructure. Residents in the affected areas have been advised to prepare accordingly and to disconnect sensitive electronic equipment.
The company provided a list of specific streets and neighborhoods that will be impacted and urged citizens to check the detailed schedule on its website. Emergency services and medical facilities in the affected areas have been notified in advance to ensure backup power systems are operational.
Planned power outages for maintenance purposes are a regular occurrence in Skopje and other Macedonian cities as the aging electrical grid undergoes gradual modernization. The distribution company noted that these temporary disruptions are necessary to ensure long-term reliability and safety of the power supply.
