US President Donald Trump told European allies they will have to fight on their own, as America will not help them secure the Strait of Hormuz.

"All those countries that can't get jet fuel because of the Strait of Hormuz, like the United Kingdom which refused to participate in taking down the Iranian regime, I have a suggestion: first, buy from the USA, we have plenty, and second, gather some courage, go to the Strait of Hormuz and simply take it over," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

He stressed that Iran is "essentially destroyed" and that "the hardest part is done," calling on Europeans to learn how to fight on their own. The conflict between the US, Israel and Iran began in late February with strikes on military and nuclear targets, after which Iran retaliated with missiles and blocked the strait critical to global oil supply.
