US President Donald Trump announced that Iran has agreed to never possess nuclear weapons, stating that Washington set clear conditions during the negotiations.

"First, second and third - they cannot have nuclear weapons," Trump declared, stressing that this is the fundamental condition on the American side.

Trump indicated that active diplomatic talks are underway, although the situation within Iran's political leadership remains unclear. "All the leaders have gone. Nobody knows who to talk to. But we are actually negotiating with the real people and they truly want to reach a deal," the US president said.

If confirmed, this announcement could have enormous implications for the security dynamics of the Middle East and global energy markets, which are under intense pressure from regional conflicts.
