Joe Kent, former US counterterrorism director, claims he and other senior officials were prevented from expressing concerns about a potential war with Iran to President Trump.

Kent says Trump relied on a narrow circle of advisors and that Israel pressured the US into military action without evidence of an immediate threat. "There was no genuine discussion," Kent stated.

Trump ultimately dismissed him as "weak on security." Kent subsequently resigned from his position.
