US President Donald Trump issued new fierce threats against Iran via his Truth Social platform, vowing the country would face catastrophic consequences if it interferes with oil supply through the Strait of Hormuz. "We will strike Iran 20 times harder than before. We will destroy targets that will prevent Iran from ever recovering as a nation. Fire, death and destruction will rule over them," Trump declared.

Military and geopolitical analysts note the language used is particularly extreme. The reference to "permanent destruction" and "impossible recovery" of an entire nation has raised concerns among part of the expert community that behind the rhetoric could be consideration of nuclear options, though Washington has not confirmed this.

Trump also stated that the military operation against Iran is progressing faster than planned. American forces, in his words, have already struck Iranian drone production facilities and are prepared for further strikes. The end of the operation, in his view, will come when Iran loses the capacity to develop weapons posing a threat to the US, Israel, or allied nations.

However, Trump's statements contain contradictions: at one point he described the operation as a "short trip" and "small excursion," yet immediately after stressed that the US "will not stop until the enemy is completely and finally defeated." Official Tehran has yet to directly respond to the latest messages, but Iran's newly appointed Supreme Leader has already received pledges of loyalty with a commitment that the conflict will continue until victory.
