A fire broke out on Friday morning at a weapons manufacturing facility of the company LPP Holding in Pardubice, Czechia. An underground group called "Earthquake Fraction" claimed responsibility, alleging that the company had cooperated with Israeli defense manufacturer Elbit Systems.

"Early in the morning, an underground group set fire to a key Israeli weapons production center to stop its participation in the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza," the group's statement reads.

The company rejected the accusations. Martina Tauberova, director of external relations, explained that production of Israeli drones had never started at their facility. "The planned cooperation with the Israeli firm, scheduled two years earlier, was never realized after the Ministry of Defense cancelled the drone procurement," she stated.

The Czech Interior Minister convened an emergency crisis committee, pointing to possible terrorist connections. The National Counter-Terrorism Center took over the investigation. Security cameras reportedly showed unidentified individuals pouring a liquid accelerant and setting fire to equipment.

Investigators are examining four different scenarios, although authorities refuse to give details. Previous incidents targeting Elbit Systems facilities have been recorded in Sweden and the United Kingdom, and Russian-backed arsons represent an additional investigative direction.
