While US President Donald Trump claims negotiations with Iran "are happening right now," Iranian officials deny active negotiations, calling such statements "fake news."

The US has sent additional forces to the Middle East, including at least 1,000 soldiers from the elite 82nd Airborne Division. Simultaneously, a 15-point peace plan was reportedly conveyed to Iran through Pakistani intermediaries, covering sanctions relief, nuclear cooperation restrictions and missile program limitations.

On the ground, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has carried out new attacks on Israel and US bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain. A fuel container at Kuwait's airport was hit by a drone attack, causing a fire.

Oil prices recorded a significant drop - Brent crude fell 6% and WTI dropped 5% following Trump's peace initiative announcement. Over 1,500 Iranians have died since hostilities began.

A projectile struck near the Bushehr nuclear facility, but no damage was reported. A huge gap exists between American optimism for diplomatic progress and Iran's public rejection of negotiations, while military operations continue across the region.
