VMRO-DPMNE called Saturday's protest organized by the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) and SDSM a complete failure.

Party spokesperson Brane Petrushevski said citizens recognized that "SDSM is behind SSM." He called it a "desperate attempt to save SSM leaders."

According to Petrushevski, workers were exploited for media attention rather than legitimate labor advocacy.
