From April 1, the Reonski Centar neighborhood in Aerodrom municipality will introduce zone parking, announced Mayor Gjorgievski. Residents will receive two free vehicle permits, while non-residents will pay 25 denars per hour.
The new zone D12 will have over 1,300 parking spots. Employees at businesses within the zone will also be able to obtain parking rights. After Reonski Centar, zone parking will expand to Novo Lisiche.
Citizens reacted with frustration on social media. "Create one zone for all municipality residents. Think about us too, you are overdoing it," wrote one resident. Others criticized the measure saying "this is just about money."
Critics are questioning whether a survey was actually conducted among residents, as no one reported participating in such a study.
