Alarm at NATO's Incirlik Base, Iran Confirms: Hormuz Remains Closed

Alarm sirens sounded at NATO's Incirlik base in Turkey as the conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran entered its second week. Iran's Revolutionary Guard again warned that the Strait of Hormuz "remains closed" until US-Israeli operations cease.

US-Israeli strikes continued on multiple fronts - simultaneous attacks were carried out on Tehran, Shiraz, and Ahvaz. More than 24,500 damaged civilian structures were recorded in Iran, while nearly 3,000 people were injured in Israel since the conflict began on February 28.

Particularly alarming is the report that the US has exhausted its "multi-year ammunition stockpiles" in just two weeks of military operations. Australia meanwhile withdrew non-essential diplomatic staff from Lebanon.

The closed Strait of Hormuz continues to paralyze global oil transit. The US Navy has still not received orders to escort tankers, while oil prices remain extremely volatile.
