Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel categorically rejected Washington's demands, declaring that "resignation does not exist in our vocabulary." He emphasized that Cuba remains a sovereign state and no external force has the right to determine who leads the country.

Diaz-Canel clarified that internal political matters cannot be resolved under external pressure. "No foreign government has the legitimacy to set conditions for our leadership," the Cuban leader stated.

The president expressed willingness to engage in dialogue with Washington, but exclusively without political conditions and without interference in Cuba's internal affairs.

The statement comes at a time when the Donald Trump administration is escalating its rhetoric toward Havana, and according to sources, the American president is planning a visit to Cuba - a move that would be a historic precedent in US-Cuban relations.
