Despite announcements of a temporary reduction in combat activities, the situation on the front in Ukraine remains far from calm - both sides report thousands of violations of the so-called Easter ceasefire.

According to the statement of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a total of 2,299 ceasefire violations were registered within 24 hours, including dozens of attacks, hundreds of artillery shellings, and mass use of drones.

The Ukrainian side reports that 25 direct assault actions were recorded, as well as hundreds of drone attacks, indicating intense combat activity despite the formal ceasefire.

At the same time, Russia presents opposing claims, accusing Ukrainian forces of nearly 2,000 violations of the agreed ceasefire.

The Easter ceasefire was agreed by the Kremlin for the period of April 11-12, but it was evidently not respected by either side in the conflict.
