Total escalation in the Middle East - Israel in a state of war, Hezbollah strikes back

The Israeli military continues massive military operations in Lebanon while Hezbollah retaliates with rocket attacks on Israeli territory, in what represents the most serious escalation of the conflict in recent weeks.

The chief of the Israeli general staff stated that the army remains in a "state of war, not ceasefire" regarding operations in Lebanon. Multiple artillery exchanges have been reported along the border between Lebanon and Israel, and air raid sirens were activated in the Galilee region.

Tensions further escalated after Iran suspended negotiations with the US, accusing Washington of failing to prevent Israeli attacks. The flow through the Strait of Hormuz remained restricted despite a prior ceasefire agreement.

According to military analysts, Israel is preparing new waves of airstrikes against Iranian targets, with intensive flight operations over Iraqi airspace. US President Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the way Iran is fulfilling its obligations related to the Strait of Hormuz.

Lebanon has become the central point in ceasefire negotiations between the US and Iran. The situation on the ground indicates that military operations are far from over, and the civilian population continues to bear the consequences of the escalation.
