Fuel prices in North Macedonia continue to rise - a new increase in fuel prices is expected from Monday, as the oil crisis linked to the Middle East conflict continues to affect the global market.

DUI demands emergency measures to protect citizens: a linear wage increase of 3,500 denars starting from March salaries, temporary freezing of prices of basic food products, activation of state oil reserves purchased below 70 denars per liter, and a 3,000-denar voucher for workers commuting outside their place of residence.

"For a week now, citizens are facing a continuous rise in prices of basic products and fuel, while the Ministry of Economy and the Government remain silent without concrete measures to ease the pressure on family budgets" - DUI stated.

The party emphasized these are "achievable measures that can be implemented immediately if there is institutional will", stressing that citizens need a quick response, not institutional silence.
