On the occasion of April 8 - International Roma Day, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova sent a greeting in which she emphasized that the Roma community deserves more than declarative rights.
"Real Roma life is far from legal guarantees," the president stated, adding that Roma are historically and culturally an inseparable part of Macedonian society.
The President of the Assembly Afrim Gashi also celebrated the day, calling for joint action against discrimination and for improving conditions for the Roma community.
The day is marked with a series of events across the country, emphasizing the need for greater inclusion, equal opportunities, and respect for the rights of the Roma people.
