Iran attacked US base in Saudi Arabia - five US tanker aircraft damaged

Iran's armed forces carried out an attack on the "Prince Sultan" base in Saudi Arabia, in which five US Air Force tanker aircraft were damaged, the Wall Street Journal reported. The aircraft sustained damage but none were completely destroyed, and repairs are already underway.

No casualties or injuries were registered in the incident. However, the total number of US tanker aircraft lost or damaged since hostilities began on February 28 stands at at least seven.

The day before, another serious incident occurred when two KC-135 aircraft collided in the air, with one crashing in the western United States. All six crew members perished. US Central Command stated that the causes of the collision are still being investigated.

As the conflict between the US, Israel and Iran escalated across the region in the past two weeks, the number of killed US military personnel reached 13 people. Israel intensified bombing of Hezbollah positions in Lebanon, while Iran continued with missile and drone attacks against American and Israeli military installations.
