Iran has announced its five conditions for ending the conflict with the US and Israel, while simultaneously rejecting the American proposal for a 48-hour ceasefire.

Iran's five conditions are: permanent peace rather than a temporary ceasefire; condemnation of the aggressor; war reparations; lifting of all sanctions; and recognition of Iran's right to peaceful nuclear energy use. "We have bitter experience with ceasefires," said a diplomatic source.

The 48-hour ceasefire proposal was not approved by Tehran. No direct negotiations between Tehran and Washington have taken place since the conflict began. Trump claims both sides are already talking - Iran denies this, though confirming it received messages through intermediaries.

Trump threatened "powerful strikes" within two to three weeks, while Defense Secretary Hegseth did not rule out ground operations.
