Iran Sets Clear Ceasefire Condition: Guarantees That US and Israel Will Not Attack Again

Iran has signaled through regional intermediaries that a ceasefire is only possible if the United States and Israel provide firm guarantees of no future attacks. Negotiations are proceeding through European and Middle Eastern countries, with Tehran particularly concerned about possible future Israeli military operations.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that ending the war requires "recognition of Iran's legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and firm international guarantees against future attacks" — messages relayed to Russian and Pakistani leaders.

Trump declared that they had "defeated Iran" but added that he does not want to "leave prematurely." "The war with Iran turned out to be easier than we thought," said the US president, assessing that operations are progressing faster than planned.

The conflict, which began on February 28, shows minimal signs of imminent de-escalation. Iran continues missile and drone operations, the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked, and global energy markets are suffering direct consequences.
