The Iranian Revolutionary Guard confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed for as long as US-Israeli operations continue, also issuing stern warnings to citizens who might take to the streets. "We monitor traitors 24 hours a day," the statement reads.

New Supreme Leader Motaba Khamenei stated that "the advantage of closing the Strait of Hormuz must continue to be exploited" and signaled that the conflict may spread to new fronts. His firm tone showed that Iran believes it can withstand prolonged missile and drone attacks in the region.

Oil prices remained above $100 per barrel during the week, as attacks disrupted energy supplies in Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. The Strait, through which approximately a fifth of global oil and gas transit passes, has been effectively closed since February 28 when the US and Israel launched operations.

The US Secretary of the Treasury confirmed that escorting tankers through the Strait will begin "when militarily feasible", possibly within an international coalition. According to available information, the Strait has not yet been mined, and Iranian and Chinese ships continue to transit.
