Kiril Pop Hristov — Kili, a long-standing member of the Macedonian National Theatre ensemble, died in Ecuador at the age of 58. The actor spent the last 12 years of his life in that distant country.

The MNT announced that today they are bidding farewell to their Kili, paying tribute to a colleague whose roles left a lasting mark on Macedonian theatrical and film art.

Kiril Pop Hristov appeared in several Macedonian productions, including the films "Tattooing," "Bal-kan-kan," and "Punk Is Not Dead." His friends and colleagues remember him for his unforgettable smile and the warmth with which he brought characters close to the audience.

The last photograph of the actor, taken in Ecuador and shared on social media, shows him calm and dignified. "With his passing, the Macedonian cultural scene has lost a recognizable theatrical face," say those close to him.
