At the age of 58, in Ecuador, Kiril Pop Hristov — Kili, longtime ensemble member of the Macedonian National Theatre, has passed away. The actor spent the last 12 years of his life in this distant country.

The MNT announced that they are today saying farewell to their Kili, paying tribute to a colleague who left an enduring mark on Macedonian theatrical and film art through his roles.

Kiril Pop Hristov appeared in several Macedonian productions, including the films "Tattooing," "Bal-kan-kan," and "Punk is Not Dead." Friends and colleagues remember him for his unforgettable smile and the warmth with which he brought characters to life for audiences.

The actor's last photograph, taken in Ecuador and shared on social media, shows him calm and dignified. "With his departure, the Macedonian cultural scene has lost a recognizable theatrical face," those close to him note.
