The Ministry of Interior announced that six separate cases of domestic violence were reported across multiple cities throughout the country in a single day, with five individuals detained suspected of various forms of physical and psychological violence.

In Gostivar, police detained 27-year-old J.Z. following a report that he made threats to family members of his wife via social media. In Kriva Palanka there were two cases: an 18-year-old physically attacked his father, and a 49-year-old attacked his wife's children. In Bitola, a 33-year-old was detained for physically attacking his 25-year-old wife in the family home.

In Prilep, a 45-year-old woman reported a physical attack by her husband. In Ohrid, police detained 44-year-old O.L. following a report that he physically attacked his unmarried partner and their minor child.

The MoI announced that measures are being taken to fully resolve and document all cases, after which appropriate charges will be filed against the perpetrators.
