Macedonian PM Hristijan Mickoski visited Budapest where he delivered a speech at the Collegium Hungaricum Matthias Corvinus, expressing strong support for Hungarian PM Viktor Orban ahead of the April 12 elections.

"Viktor Orban is a defender of Europe," said Mickoski, adding that "we, as a government, stand behind Viktor Orban." He highlighted shared values including "family, tradition, faith, identity" and described Hungary as "the voice of Europe's silent majority."

Mickoski said he discussed economic cooperation, new investments, infrastructure, energy and regional stability with Orban. He called Orban a "great friend" of Macedonia and described Hungary as an example of "stability, vision and leadership."

Pro-government Hungarian media portrayed the visit as additional support for Orban's re-election campaign, positioning Mickoski alongside other international figures backing the Hungarian leader.
