Ukrainian armed forces carried out an attack on a microelectronics plant in the Russian city of Bryansk on March 10. According to Russian authorities, at least seven civilians were killed and 42 were wounded. Moscow characterized the incident as terrorism.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that "the missile launch was impossible without British experts," implying direct Western involvement in the conflict. "Such barbaric actions by the Kyiv regime" justify Russian military operations, he added.

Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused London and other Western capitals of undermining peace negotiations. Officials claim that Western military support, including Storm Shadow missiles, is directly escalating tensions.

Ukraine's leadership subsequently announced it would continue attacking Russian military and industrial facilities, further straining relations between Moscow and the West.
