The Macedonian government has proposed judge Nenad Saveski as the new Public Prosecutor of the Republic of Macedonia. The proposal requires the support of 61 members of parliament to be approved.

Saveski (born 1976) holds a master's degree in criminal law from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje and has worked as a judge at the Basic Criminal Court Skopje, Department for Organized Crime and Corruption, since 2016. He previously served as a public prosecutor (2009-2016) and legal associate (2004-2009), with experience in projects by the OSCE, EU Chapter 23, the Council of Europe, and USAID.

Legal experts have welcomed the choice, assessing that the government "played it perfectly" by selecting a non-partisan candidate. Saveski was chosen from among three candidates - also applying were acting chief prosecutor Anita Topolova Isajolovska and prosecutor Lidija Rajcevic. A fifth candidate, former judge Vladimir Pancevski, was disqualified by the Council of Public Prosecutors.

The appointment follows the resignation of Public Prosecutor Ljupco Kocevski in December 2025. The proposal follows prescribed procedural requirements and represents an effort to appoint a non-partisan figure to this key position.
