Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski held working meetings at the State Department in Washington, dedicated to strengthening the strategic partnership between Macedonia and the United States.

At a meeting with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Lawton, both nations confirmed the solid partnership based on mutual support, democratic values, and deepening economic and trade cooperation. Nikoloski stated that "the US is Macedonia's number one strategic partner."

The discussions covered economic cooperation, energy transition, and critical infrastructure development, particularly the Pan-European Corridors 8 and 10 passing through Macedonia. Nikoloski emphasized that these corridors are key to the country's economic development and national security.

The agenda also included reactivating the Strategic Dialogue and reviewing the bilateral trade agreement to increase business cooperation. Nikoloski continued his visit by participating in the global event "Transforming Transport 2026."
