Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Aleksandar Nikoloski held several high-level meetings at the US State Department, where he discussed strengthening relations between Macedonia and the United States.

Nikoloski emphasized that the US is Macedonia's number one strategic partner and the country that provides the most support. The discussions centered on infrastructure projects, particularly the Pan-European Corridor 8 and Pan-European Corridor 10, which pass through Macedonia and play a significant role in regional connectivity and economic development.

Additionally, possibilities for concluding a trade agreement that would enable greater business activity and higher trade turnover between the two countries were discussed. "Strategic partnership should mean prosperity, progress, security, and strengthening of pro-Western values in Macedonia," Nikoloski stated.

As part of the visit, Nikoloski also participated in the World Bank Forum, where he spoke about the importance of Corridors 10 and 8 for connecting the region to the broader European space.
