Police seized drugs near the Gostivar toll booth in an operation conducted last night around 00:10. Three persons were detained.

Police officers from the Unit for Combating Illegal Drug and Weapons Trafficking spotted the suspects in a Volkswagen Bora passenger vehicle with Gostivar registration plates.

During the intervention, one of the individuals threw packages from the vehicle containing brown crystalline material and brown powder. The packages were immediately found and confiscated.

The individuals, aged 40, 48, and 70, all from Gostivar and surrounding areas, are being held at the police station. In coordination with the public prosecutor, criminal charges will be filed during the day under expedited procedure.
