Croatia will continue to support Macedonia on its path to EU membership, said Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic after meeting with Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski in Brussels.
"Pleased to meet with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia in Brussels. Croatia will continue to support North Macedonia on its path to the EU", Plenkovic wrote on his X profile.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the European People s Party, where a leaders summit will also be held. Mickoski is in Brussels with a VMRO-DPMNE delegation until March 20.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on current global events, geopolitical challenges, energy supply security in Southeast Europe, and the measures of both governments for dealing with rising energy prices.
Mickoski emphasized that the talks covered "current European challenges, regional cooperation, and the European perspective" with a focus on strengthening bilateral relations.
