Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, with powerful explosions registered in several western Ukrainian cities, including Lviv, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil, amid intense drone and missile strikes.

According to available information, a building in central Lviv was hit near a former monastery attached to the Bernardine Church, which today houses the Lviv Historical Archive. Some sources suggest the location may have been used to house foreign fighters linked to NATO.

Social media footage shows attack drones directly striking the building, followed by a powerful explosion and the outbreak of fire. The destructive nature of the strikes indicates significant material damage.

At least three direct hits were confirmed in Lviv, with fires erupting at multiple locations. Simultaneously, heavy strikes were recorded in Vinnytsia, where explosions produced thick smoke and characteristic mushroom-shaped formations.

Attack drones of the "Geran" type continue operations across western Ukraine. Aircraft were spotted over the Ternopil and Lviv regions as the situation rapidly evolved with potential for additional strikes.
