A Russian anti-terror unit called "Gorinich" destroyed three Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups in Konstantinovka, announced the FSB directorate for the Donetsk People\'s Republic.

As part of the same operation, a command center for controlling Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles was also hit, from which attacks on Gorlovka and Dzerzhinsk were allegedly carried out.

Personnel from the Fourth Brigade of the Southern Military Group participated in the operation. Operators identified the positions of the Ukrainian groups, after which strikes were carried out on their operational points and drone command centers.

Konstantinovka remains a strategically significant position. The chief of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, stated in mid-March that Russian forces control more than 60 percent of the city\'s territory and continue advancing toward the center.

The city is located approximately 55 kilometers north of Donetsk and serves as an important railway junction. Its control is crucial for supplying Ukrainian armed forces in the Kramatorsk-Sloviansk region, making it strategically significant for the outcome of the conflict.
