An investigation by German magazine Der Spiegel has revealed chilling allegations about the so-called "Sarajevo Safari" - claims that wealthy Western Europeans paid up to 50,000 euros to kill civilians during the siege of Sarajevo in the 1990s.

According to the report, approximately 230 Italians, along with French, Belgian, and Austrian nationals, participated in these crimes. Former Serbian Army soldier Licanin stated: "They shot women, children and elderly, they were out of control."

Retired Italian judge Salvini said: "Something indescribable happened in Sarajevo." According to the investigation, bullets were color-coded by victim type.
