A special traffic regime will be in effect in Skopje tomorrow on the occasion of the Easter holiday, the City of Skopje announced. Several streets in the city center will be closed due to the Easter liturgies.

The special regime will be in force throughout the entire day, and drivers are asked to use alternative routes and to be mindful of pedestrians and worshippers heading to churches.

The City of Skopje appeals to citizens to respect traffic signs and police instructions, and those who do not need to travel should avoid the city center.

Easter is one of the biggest Orthodox holidays, and it is traditionally celebrated with a midnight liturgy and morning worship service in all Orthodox churches across the country.
